Bakers’ Blend Issue 2 Out Now!

It has certainly been an interesting month for the country since the first edition of Bakers’ Blend with the deliberations over Brexit mirroring the icy chill in the weather. At least February will see a little light relief from all the uncertainty with Valentine’s Day and Shrove Tuesday to look forward to. As the dreaded ‘B’ word is on everyone’s lips at the moment, in this issue, we decided to take a look at what Brexit could mean to us as a company, although the way things are going it could be anyone’s guess.


On a lighter note we have some great deals to see you through the next month including our own in- house offers to be found on page 10. With Easter just around the corner now is the time to stock up on essentials for those traditional bakes. Create the perfect hot cross buns with £2 off a 15kg bag of specially formulated dough concentrate from Zeelandia. Craigmillar are offering a £2.50 reduction on Snowmallo and Mellomallo products along with a recipe booklet to enable you to produce a range of festive treats. Keep an eye out for a host of online promotions and competitions from Dawn Foods in the run up to the Easter celebrations. Of course Easter wouldn’t be Easter without chocolate and, during February only, Macphie have a fantastic 15% discount on their Mississippi muffin and cake mix range, available in three flavours including chocolate!


In our last issue we said a fond farewell to Gerry but we hadn’t heard the last of him as we recently received a lovely thank you from him following his retirement party. Glad to see he is missing everyone and all the best to you Gerry and Lynn.
