Daisy donates to local NHS hospital
Walker Humphrey’s Technical Administrator, Daisy Wilkinson has donated more than £200 worth of products to her local hospital.
Daisy, an independent Body Shop consultant, wanted to pay a thank you to all the front line superheroes in their efforts during the battle against Covid-19. Knowing she wanted to give something back, Daisy put on her thinking cap and decided that what better way to say thank you than to make a donation to her local hospital in Selby.
Daisy commented: “As an independent body shop consultant, I was quickly made aware of the damaging and uncomfortable effects continuous PPE wear can have on the skin. One of the body shop products we have is a range of hydrating sheet masks. The sheet masks can provide 24 hours of moisture in just 15 minutes, something I felt was ideal for restoring hydration, giving comfort and helping restore the skin barrier. I have also been able to raise funds for some hand creams, including the hemp hand protector which is perfect for hydrating sensitive and ultra-dry skin. Although only a small gesture in the grand scheme of things, it was nice to give back to those who have sacrificed so much for us over the past year.”
The team at Walker Humphrey are incredibly proud of Daisy and in recognition of her efforts, have also donated 3 boxes of Dawn assorted donuts to support the cause.
Fiona McHale, Community Services Secretary for Selby Hospital added: “I would like to express out thanks to you for the wonderful Body Shop products you gifted to the staff at the hospital. These will be gratefully received and the donuts were an added treat which will certainly bring a smile to our faces. It is greatly appreciated and always nice to know that we are being thought of during these unprecedented times.”
Well done Daisy!
